When you configure alerts, make sure notifications will be sent out soon enough that you can quickly respond to problems.
Use this formula to calculate the minimum time from when the problem occurs to when the alert is triggered and notifications are sent out:
if (N >= T) THEN A = F/N * (T - 1) else A = NEVER
Adjust these factors to decrease the amount of time between when the alert is triggered and when the notification is sent: for example, decrease the number of consecutive failures or run the tests more frequently.
