The Web Recorder has the basic scripting features most often used for synthetic tests.
These actions are available:
For a Mobile transaction, you select the device brand and model to emulate.
The actions have configurable advanced options, such as the target window and locators. For most actions, you can define validation against all content or against and element, and a Wait attribute for page load, network activity, or a specific number of seconds.
After recording a transaction, you can edit step names and add or remove step boundaries. You can delete unnecessary actions, though you cannot add actions manually.
The Script Options include exclusion filters and parameters.
After playing back the transaction, you can configure tests in the Web Recorder for the selected test and agent types. A default Web Recorder template for the test type is applied to each test. These tests can be edited in the Web Recorder at any time.
For more details, see Using the Web Recorder in the documentation.
You can download a Web Recorder transaction to the Windows Recorder to add advanced scripting features. However, after you edit the transaction in the Windows Recorder, it can no longer be opened into the Web Recorder.
