You can follow items to track forum activity of interest. You must be logged in to follow a forum, item, or user. Following items enables you to set up specific email notifications rules whenever someone adds content to the forum or question. In addition, you can review all followed item activity from the My subscriptions page of your profile.

Follow forums or posts

Click the Follow button at the top right of the page.

The button changes to Unfollow. Click All followers to view a list of other users following the forum.

Note: If you Follow a parent forum, you automatically follow all the child forums. For example, when you click Follow on the Network Application Monitoring home page, you will get notifications for activity in the NAM Open Q&A, NAM Product Ideas, and Enterprise Synthetic Monitoring forums.

Follow topic tags

On any forum page, hold the mouse pointer over the tag in the Forum Tags in the right sidebar. Display a popup window and click Follow.

Follow Community members

There are two ways of following other Community members:

  • On a member's post, hover over the member's name to display the user overview, then click Follow.
  • In the member's profile page, click the Follow This User button. To view the profile page, click the user's name above any post.

Review the items you follow

The items you follow are listed in your user page.

To review the lists:

  • Click your user icon at the top right of a page and select Profile.
  • On the profile page, click My Subscriptions. The items you're following are organized into categories. Click a category to display the items in that category.

If you disable notifications, you can still check on your followed items in these lists. For any category except Forums, you can click on an item in the list to go to that item. For example, clicking a tag displays a list of posts with that tag.
