Ok, thank you Chris. We are going to make a proposal for our customer for instrumentation of the other components in front- and behind Cordys to see at least where large performance bottlenecks reside. Instrumentation of Cordys would for now be too timeconsuming. We will propose to do that later to offer more transparency into the Cordys internals.
Thanks for your response Chris!

Hi Marcel,
We have recently had the same issue (albeit using apache as the webserver), in the end Cordys rewrote their BPM code to accommodate the Compuware ADK (this was a client-specific rewrite by Cordys). Once this was in place we defined custom sensors as entry points (HandleBodyBlock etc..).
Suggest you approach Cordys to do the same for you?

We are trying to instrument a Cordys BPM server, having IIS as entrypoint and several custom built business processes which can be JVM dynatraced from te Cordys management console. Now, all we see coming in as purepath are web calls entering IIS. Although these calls do progress through the Cordys system, we do not see the purepaths being completed by the JVM's we instrumented, nor do we see any broken purepaths from the JVM's we instrumented. I am expecting the Cordys 'framework' contains more processes connecting the IIS frontend and custom modules and interconnect the modules. Via CPU sampling we can see activity on the JVM's we instrumented, so the JVM is reporting to the server nicely. But not as a part of the purepath.
Does someone know how to instrument (which processes) the Cordys backbone with Dynatrace agents?
Your help is most appreciated!
