Hello Roman, Andi and Andreas

sorry guys but i still having the same problem and yes you are right i don´t have a license yet, because first i need to have a tryal version which i can use to make some testes on it, in order to convince my self and my boss that Dyna Trace is the best choice to monitor our Servers and Objects. Iam strongly impressed with your fast response and support, at last i ask you to please continue giving me that kind of help because i believe Dyna might be the solution we need for monitorization.

Thanks a lot,

Best Regards!!!

Did you try to activate your 15 day free trial license?
As Roman said - it seems you have not yet activated it. There is a good Step-by-Step Description in the Free Trial Evaluation Guide: My dynaTrace Trial

Do you have a valid license?

In the status bar on the bottom right of your client I can see a RED "-" with the number 1 next to it. That means you have one severe problem in your dynaTrace installation. It could be that you havent imported a valid license. That would also explain that you dont see the Application View.

Please click on that "1" in the status bar and follow the instructions

Hi Hamilton,

Andi already had a similar thought - do you have a license activated on that server? From what I can see you have accepted the invitation but have not yet activated the license key on your server.

Best, Roman

Hello dear Andi,

many thanks to your support, but peharps i didnt make my self so clear in my early speach. I wanted to tell you that i can not find the tab Aplication Monitoring- Dyne Trace client , so that i can proceed with my configurations and view the agents to be monitored.

At this time my Dyna Trace is a trial version, my company is counting on me to have a monitoring system to monitor our TIBCO Plataform, and if the trial experiment works with sucess for sure we are going to buy it.

Many thanks for your fast reply, and iam excited to have it work!

Simply click on "Add the dynaTrace Agent" - this will open up the wizard that allows you to configure your agents.

Once that is done you can generate some traffic - meaning - you need to work with your application and dynaTrace will automatically monitor your application. This screen will then change and will give you an overview per application. From there you can drill down into details.

The other option you have is to look at the data through the "Cockpit". Simply move your mouse to the left side of the dynaTrace Client - there is a small arrow. If you move the mouse over there you will see the Cockpit pop out. There you have direct access to dynaTrace data such as PurePaths, Database Statements, ...

I really encourage you to watch some of the videos that are on the Getting Started with Dynatrace page. This will get you started

Andi

Hi Hamilton

Please have a look at Getting Started with Dynatrace - it gives you a lot of material that explains how to get started, e.g: The First Steps Video Walkthroughs. There is also a good guide that shows all steps including screenshots: Step 3 - Connect Agent to dynaTrace

Once you have an agent installed on your target machine you also need to configure the agent to be loaded into your JAva/.NET/Web/PHP Application. Once that is done the agent will automatically collect data and you can view the data in different dashboards
