Hi All,
We have a sharepoint application , from this sharepoint application we call the rest service. Application works fine without any issues before openign the dynatrace ajax edition.
After opening the ajax edition, I tried to open the applicatoin and now the Options requests on the rest service fails. Can someone please let me know how to overcome this issue.
The above issue is happening when i am opening only Rest service and rest of the places it works fine.
I have an work around as well :
The work arround which i have is to enable the "Access data sources across domains" . But i dont want to use this work arround. Is there a way to overcome this issue.
Thanks,
Dayananda

We have seen this in the past that turning this option is causes some problems in some browsers. By disabling this option you dont really loose anything. You will still see the AJAX Requests in your Network View. You will also see the AJAX call in your PurePath being executed from your JavaScript library such as jQuery. The only thing you dont see is the AJAX Network Details in the PurePath Tree. But - as I said - you can simply open the Network view and pick the AJAX Request to get all the network request details such as headers and body

Thanks Andreas for your response.
This site is not visible to public. This is an internal site.
As per your suggestion, I tried the alternative option and found that "Tag AJAX/XHR Requests" is the one which is causing the issue.
Can you give me some more idea on the above preference and why we are seeing this issue by enabling this?

Any chance the sharepoint website you are testing is accessible for our engineers? so we can have a look at it?
An alternative option is to turn on/off certain features in AJAX Edition and see which one of these features is causing the problem. If you open the Preferences Dialog and then click on the Agent tab you see a long list of check boxes. I would start disabling all of them and verify if this still causes the same problem. If not - I would start enabling one feature after the other to find out which one might be causing this issue. With this we at least know where the problem comes from.
Also - besides AJAX Edition you may also want to look into our dynaTrace Free Trial which provides a slightly enhanced version of the Browser Add-On. If you want to learn more about it check out my blog post http://apmblog.compuware.com/2014/07/01/can-monitor-web-performance-free/ and feel free to register/upgrade your AJAX Account to a dynaTrace Free Trial account by filling out the registration form on My dynaTrace Trial
