Hi,
I'm trying to configure dT "Applications" for a website www.tvasports.ca.
dynaTrace auto-detected some "weird" websites with patterns like "www.tvasports.ca, 100.79.94.38". That's just the website name followed by an IP.
I thought that if I configured a rule with "starts with 'http://www.tvasports.ca" it should catch those requests. I even tried "contains: 'www.tvasports.ca'" and "contains: 'tvasports.ca'", to no avail. If I uncheck "Detect applications automatically", all these requests go into "Default application" despite my pretty catch-all "contains" rule.
We're on dT 5.6.0.6022.
Any idea?
Thanks!

While we haven't fixed the host header, by adding the WS Agent it helped a lot since the WS Agent see the request coming in for normal Host Header value and is therefore able to map it to an application.

Ok, thanks for bringing that up. I wouldn't be surprised if the Web Server in front of Tomcat was responsible for this behaviour. I will look into it.

Can you attach a PurePath with one of these weird application configurations? It would be helpful to see the web request details.

Sure! Here's two PP on 'default app.' :
dynaTrace is working as expected but the app is behaving strangely:
The web server/proxy/load balancer must be modifying the host header, because I've never seen the field with more than one entry before. Adding an agent to the web server if there is one would be the shortest resolution to the issue, I'd think.
