I'm wondering if it's possible to assign a certain dashboard to open automatically whenever a specific user logs in. Specifically, each System Profile we have set up, I'd like to have a "Summary" dashboard open automatically for each user group, for their System Profile (each group gets one, for the most part).
Alternatively, is there a way to hide dashboards saved on the server unless they are assigned to a user (group/role). So if a user tries to open dashboards on the server, they can only see what they have access to via their assigned System Profile(s)?
Thanks - still picking a lot of this up, so I appreciate the patient answers here!

yes to both, if you look at the group settings under the user setting for the system settings, you will see the option to Auto Open a dashboard. You will also see the options to set read or read write for any dashboard. If you leave it as <default>, this will allow the group to see all dashboard. However, if you specify dashboard, then those are the only ones they will have access to read or read/write. You also have the ability to assign which profile the group can access.
Ah, brilliant! I kept looking at the dashboard properties - up until an hour or two ago, I didn't have access to the user/group/role properties, so I was just going off of what I could find in the documentation.
Thanks very much!
