Engineers at our company will be doing a POC that will being using Layer7 in trying to replace the WMB broker portion of a "backbone" with web service.
That backbone exists on Dynatrace 5.6. However, Layer7 exists on Dynatrace 5.5. During the POC we would be pointing the Layer7 app to the Dynatrace 5.6 collector. My understanding is this would upgrade the Dynatrace agent on the Layer7 app to 5.6.
However, after the POC we would like to revert everything back to its original state. Basically repoint the Layer7 app back to the Dynatrace 5.5 collector. Would we need to reinstall the version 5.5 Dynatrace agent on the Layer7 apps' server. Or would it be smart enough to be able to downgrade itself from 5.6 to 5.5?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
That should work without any manual work - the bootstrap agent connects to a 5.5 collector and is asked to load a 5.5 agent. That would be available locally already so without any further steps it should just continue with the app startup.
