We have configured the outlook server in the dynatrace server configuration and also added the dynatrace servers in the outlook server end. The network connection is open. But still we are not able to send the email reports. when I try to send the verification mail, its returning the connection timeed out error. Could not connect with the host. what might be the cause ? any thoughts ?

Start with verifying communication between hosts by trying a telnet connection from the dt server to the smtp server on the correct port. Do you get a connection, or does that time out as well?
