Remaining dynaTrace Licenses

Hello everyone,

Where can I see at a glance the number of remaining dynaTrace licenses (.NET, Java, UEM, etc...)?

Regards,

Anoh

Well - either that or built-in into the product. certain things just make sense to provide it. We already have some internal implementations to keep track of these numbers. So - it should not be too hard to do. But - engineering always needs to weigh the effort vs benefit. Thats why we have the RFE process which we use to figure out how many people would actually need a certain feature built-into the product.

Thank you Andi!  I guess it is time for a new plugin to provide used and remaining licenses at a glance.

Thank you,

Anoh

Andi,

The problem is that since .NET is licensed per Windows OS instance (WOSI) and not per Agent, it is very difficult to determine how many agents have been used.

Anoh

Yes - I know - hence my previous response about "built-in" functionality!

You can open the server settings dialog. there you will find an overview of all Licenses you have as part of your current license -> License Tab

Additionally you can click on the Collectors Tab that shows you how many agents are currently connected from each technology type.

Its not a perfect overview of what is still left - but it is a start
