Hi,
I would like group the visits based on the user name or location, but the visits are all coming with a comman name as local network.what might be the issue?
When i group by location,by default its taking as local network.
Please find the screenshot below.
Thanks and Regards.

Hi,
This upcoming Friday I do have almost a couple of hours open, if you don't mind we can take a look on a GoTo session.
I'd look for additional info on both, Dev and Prod environments, if that helps a little.
Rather than using the cookie info/http requests, I'd suggest to create a sensor for any given method which handles usernames, so we get rid of load balancers/app security appliances/proxies etc...between the browser and web server.
Once there, we can tag the visits using the split, on an UEM defined application.
Hope this helps,
Carlos.
Surely Carlos,
My Requirements are
1.Visits dashboard should show the visit as Visit from NAME from Place
2.If I use the measure that is tagged to UEM in a BT to dashboard and then if I drilldown from the dashboard for any particular user i should find the user actions of that particular user.

Hi Anusha,
I have no further ideas at this point, so if nobody else has ideas soon I would suggest opening a support case.
Thanks,
dave

Hi Anusha,
I believe the root cause of these issues is the lack of the dtCookie. You cannot drill to UA from the PP-based BT because of this, and I suspect the connection between web browser and web server is because of it also.
Thanks,
dave
Hi David,
I had a meeting with the admin of Webserver,we could find that dtcookie is not getting stripped off.(confirmed by checking in the logs of the webserver)..
Any other issue from dynatrace due to which there is no connection established between Browser and Webserver?
Can we think in one more way that the visits are shown as captured from default application, but the BT shows other application?

David,
Adding one more point. As you have observed in WebEx last friday.
dtcookie getting stripped off and No connection between web browser and webserver, are these two issues related to each other?
i.e, as there was no connection established between web browser and webserver, the dtcookie id is not getting captured or vice versa?

Hi David,
There is something seriously strange happening. As i mentioned you in the previous post,
i tried building a dashboard with the Test BT.So when i drill down from a particular username into user action purepath and sort by start time i can find all the actions done by that particular user.
Now even though i drilldown to useraction purepaths from the same BT(built new BT and stored in Performance warehouse for sometime),the Useraction purepaths is empty.
Kindly Suggest what went wrong.

Hi Anusha,
You should turn the flag back off as we knew in advance there would be an excessive number of splits. I would recommend you continue using the dashboard to drill down while data is available, and consider increasing the storage allocated to session data as I believe it was set to the default of 250G.
The measure can only be used as a split, not as a filter.
Since you already have 50k of measures in the Performance Warehouse, you should clean that up by changing the flag to not store in the PW, making a copy of the BT, deleting the bad BT, and renaming the new BT to the original name.

During our webex we determined that the visits are not being tied to purepaths. We created a visit BT and got no data for the user id, then we extracted "cookie" in both environments and found no "dtCookie" in Prod, so the assumption now is the Load Balancer or Web Server is stripping that cookie and causing the flow to break, which leads to no visit tag.
Hi David,
As i told you i will update regarding the dtcookieid in prod edition,It is getting stripped off for all transactions.I am following up with respective teams to find out what would be the reason behind.
As a second step,i tried building a dashboard with the Test BT.
So when i drill down from a particular username into user action purepath and sort by start time i can find all the actions done by that particular user. This is working fine.
But as i have to activate the check mark in BT for storing in performance warehouse(so that data can be seen on any particular day) i am getting a pop up displaying misconfiguration of BT as there were several number of splittings. How can i get rid of this?
Can i use the measure as a filter in a BT and build a dashboard. Will that work fine?
