Copying business transactions and measures to another server

Hi,

I'm making some complex business transactions for monitoring in dT 6.0 (will be upgraded to 6.1 in the near future if this fact counts for something).
When i'm done, i would like to copy them to my other dT server (will be upgraded to 6.1 too).

Is there any out of the box way to do this?

Thanks,
Tamas

Tomas,

That would actually work as well, just have both of them open and do a CTRL+C and CTRL+V from one client to the other.

As long as you have both open on the same PC, you will be able to do it. Same you will do with the measures.

Let us know how it goes.

Santiago,

It's not working. The paste option is unavailable (greyed out) in the target server's client. Might be because of the different version. I'll try again and write a feedback when we're done with the upgrades.

Hello,

The easiest way to do this is having both dynaTrace servers connected to your client. Then you can go to your System profile settings>>business transactions>>CTRL+C then open the system profile on your other server go to the same place where you want the BT and then just CTRL+V.

One thing you will need to keep in mind is that you will also need to do the same with the measures if they don't exist on your other server

Hope this helps,

Santiago

Thank you Santiago!

This idea wasn't in my mind so far. I have two servers with different versions, so with different clients, thus i wasn't thinking about using the same client (smile)

Tamas
