Enabling dynatrace web so that users can view monitoring data using browsers

Hi

We are using dynatrace 5.6 version.

Is there any option to enable web,so that the users can access the dashboards which were built in dynatrace with a specific url in browser.

Anusha,

You need to enable the browser interface.  Go to Settings --> Server --> Services --< Management tab and enable at least "Enable Web Server".

Anusha,

You don't need to download the client in order to access dashboards from the browser.  Could we see the rest of the page?

Anusha,

I'm sorry I wasn't clear.  I meant you should use the name of the system that the Dynatrace Server is running on.

If you're logged in to the same system that the Dynatrace Server is running on, you can check to see if the browser interface is up and running by going to http://localhost:8020.

The connection from the client to the server â€“ that you showed in the screenshot – is separate from the browser interface.  They run on separate ports, so you need to specify port 8020 in the browser even though you specify port 2021 in the client.

However, since you're connecting to the same system, that's the same.  When you're connecting from another system, use the same system name in the browser that you use in the client.

Hi Graeme,

How can we know weather our dynatrace is running on dynatrace.acme.com or not?

Our server were dynatrace was installed is a windows server.

and when i tried to open it in the server browser it self or out of the server using http://dynatrace.acme.com:8020 // http://dynatrace.acme.com:2021 it is showing the following error Webenabling_2.JPG

Please find the connectivity of our dynatrace application Webenabling_1.JPG

I would logon to your dynatrace.acme.com server and open a browser and browse to http://localhost:8020. If that works you know that the dynatrace server itself is running and that the web interface is accessible. If you cant access it via dynatrace.acme.com:8020 from a different machine it is most likely a firewall isuse

Anusha,

If the Dynatrace Server is running on dynatrace.acme.com, you can go to http://dynatrace.acme.com:8020 in your browser and you'll be able to log in and see any saved dashboards.  This web interface on by default, so it should be there.

Note that you do need to log in and I guess you'll only see dashboards that your user id has access to.
