Websphere MQ Monitor Plugin (1.0.3) Installation issue

We have Dynatrace 4.2 with the Websphere MQ Monitor Plugin (1.0.3).

The collector has an MQ v7.5 installation. Also tried version 7.0.1 and tried both a client and full MQ installation on the collector. The remote MQ server is v7.5.

The collector service runs with a Windows AD amount that is:
a) Domain Admin (until this is working), and
b) A member of the Domain MQM group to allow MQ administrative access.

The plugin fails with the following error message:
“Could not retrieve queue manager Application. Manager status.”

From the DynaTrace collector server it is possible to run MQ explorer, connect to the remote “Application. Manager” queue manager and perform MQ administration tasks on its queues.

I would be grateful for any advice on how to troubleshoot this error.
Thanks, Kevin

Following advice from Asad I've changed to the new "IBM MQ Queue Channel Monitoring Plugin"

It works seamlessly with MQ v7.5 and is absolutely awesome.

I've just checked and the current version of the Websphere MQ Monitor Plugin version 2.0.0. has been installed and has the same issue.

Kevin,
Can you post the log files from the plugin here? Using the System Information dashlet in the dT client, you can look at all the log files. You will find the plugin log file under the collector that is running the plugin.

Hi Kevin

I've forwarded your post to the authors of the plugin (they are listed on the download page). They might be able to tell you more about this error in their community plugin
