User Experience

Hello forum,

I'm trying to find out over the community the list of out-of-the-box metrics that dynaTrace can collect by defaul; I mean "Time to first impression" is surely a metric that dynaTrace collects. Which are the Others ?

Thanks in advance

Luigi

I dont think there is a list of all measures with its descriptions in the moment. But - all default measures of a new system profile are stored in the system profile xml file on the dynaTrace server. that xml file also includes the description. so - maybe thats a start for you

Where to find these profile.xml files? Go to your dynaTrace server installation and go to server/conf/profile. In these .xml files you can search for the measures and look for the description attribute

Great hint-

Anyway just to move between the huge number of metrics, I could prefer a sort of list-

I will understand if this is not compliance with the company policy

If you click on that metric you will see a description in the top right area of the dialog. does this help?

Hi Andreas,

maybe there was a misunderstanding within my last post

I mean that it's clear your answer, anyway I could know if there is the possibility to have a list metric, of course according to Company policies

Hi Andreas,

thank you so much, of course this helps-

However just because, as you mentioned "we have a long list of measures", I could know how to proceed to pick up the right measure-

For example I don't know "Processing" metric under "Navigation timing - Steps" means-

Is there any metric dictionary or administration guide that can provide this information ?

Hi Luigi

The best is if you open a dashboard and put a chart on that dashboard. The click on "Add Series". The upcoming dialog is the Measure Picker dialog which allows you to pick any measure that dynaTrace calculates.

For UEM (=User Experience Management) we have a long list of measures. But there is more than just UEM data as we also provide lots of metrics on the server-side.

Does this help?

Here is a screenshot that gives you a quick overview:
