Hi,
For dynatrace 6.1, Applications are auto detected by dynatrace based on 'WebId or Host. Problem is I am getting visits but those are very few for example 7 in 2 hours whereas number of webrequests are more than 200/min. And each visit is not showing more than 2 user actions..
I have enabled UEM for apache 2.2 web server on linux platform. In UEM health check only default application is shown and which ever URL I enter is showing 404 error. UEMHealthCheck.png
Later I added new application in UEM configuration as defined in this post : UEM-HealthCheck-Where are the applications.
But even after that in UEM health check was showing only default application. I wanted to use UEM health check but got confused as its not validating anything.
So 2 doubts:
1) Applications not shown in UEM health check : is it more due to firewall / proxy not enabled between dynatrace server and application URL ? or something I am missing in configuration ?
2) Any pointers what can be potential reasons for few user visits and only 2 actions per visit ?
Any advice on this is highly appreciated. Added session file Astro GS ECMC iValue.dts
Thanks

Hi,
To update I am facing another problem, visit tag is not reflecting.
I have created a request parameter measure to get j_username value. I used this measure to tag visit but its not reflecting.
Whereas when I am creating a BT using same measure in split section and can see user ids. Any suggestions what might cause this?
is it due to i am using auto detected application ? Do I have to define applications as user defined ?
-Thanks,
Ankur
Hi
This problem is most likely explained with your PurePath - where you captured your j_username - NOT being linked with a User Action. Do me a favor and find your PurePath. Then try to "Drill Down" to the User Action PurePath. If that is not available it means that dynaTrace UEM didnt capture a User Action for that event. That can have multiple reasons. Most likely reason is that you havent enabled all the JAvaScript Framework support such as jQuery, AngularJS, ... in the System Profile -> User Experience Settings. In order for Visit Tagging to work we need to capture the User Action in the Browser. That allows us to link that Action with the Visit as well as with the server-side PurePaths where we get the information such as j_username
So - verify that your Visits have all the User Actions recorded. if not - do a santiy check on your UEM Settings - espcailly the supported JavaScript Frameworks

HI,
I'm having a similar issue. Visit tagging with the User parameter was working fine. The cloud server instance crashed, was restored, but with 6.1.0.7888 (vs 6.1.0.7880 previously).
Now Visit tagging works with other parameters, but no User. I've enabled all the support you mentioned above (jQuery, etc.), but still no luck. Also, the collector shows a configuration warning (since it's now "out of date") and a restart doesn't update it.
Any ideas?
Beth
By the way, I can find the PurePath with the User parameter captures. It does not allow me to drill down to User PurePaths.
Hi Ben. If the Drill Down doesnt work it means that our JavaScript Agent hasent captured a User Action in the Browser that can be linked to that PurePath. If that worked before your crash but now doesnt work anymore I almost assume it has to do with the version upgrade that happened. I would definitely open a support ticket for this

Hi Ben. When you say Cloud Server Instance- do you mean our dynaTrace as a Service Offering or do you run your own dynaTrace server in the cloud? If you use our service I suggest you open a support ticket so that my colleagues can have a look at it.
