Dyntrace to monitor internal site performance from different geography

Can dyntrace has any means to check to site speed or performance checking from different locations? i can see some functionalities where you can monitor your public facing websites performance from different locations in world. But what if we want to do same thing for our internal network applications? Are there any enterprise agents which can be deployed across the globe and do so?

Hi,

To do it you need to use the functionnality called 'Private Last Mile - Private Peer" from our dynatrace Synthetic Monitoring offer

The description :

"Build a private Test Network running IE, Firefox and/or Chrome Browser Agents.

A Private Last Mile is a secure, organization-specific Last Mile browser agent that allows you to monitor web performance and availability from within your corporate network.
Gain visibility from inside your firewall or gateway of your web-based on-premise-only apps, as well as your public-facing apps. Build a private test network from any or all of your key locations such as your datacenter, corporate HQ, remote offices, partner locations, or home home/mobile office workers. PLM is an effective way to proactively detect problems/adverse trends before users are impacted."

Can you educate me on the difference between "Enterprise" Synthetic monitoring and regular Synthetic monitoring products? Or is this just a change in name from 12.2 to 12.3?

Thanks Graeme.

Lets say, if we want to simulate different pages load time from different geographies. One of the challenge would be, it won't be accessible from outside corporate network. Hence, my question was can we do such site performance testing from dynatrace?

George,

Dynatrace has somewhat different features depending on whether you want to monitor the performance of your actual user traffic or you want to generate synthetic traffic to monitor the performance of your web site.

The answer is yes in both cases, but if you want to discuss synthetic monitoring, there is another forum which is focused on that.

Or you might be interested in both?
