Hi.
Recently we have finished a POV and one of the points was measure the impact of the dT agents. To do that, the customer ran a set of tests in a fixed time frame, with and without agents in order to find out the impact of dT. The surprise was that there's no significant CPU or memory impact, but with the dT agents installed the number of completed tests were less than without agents. We repeat the set of tests 3 times (changing the order) and the result was more or less the same.
Could you help me to explain that? The customer said that probably is because dT consumes part of the available threads... but I'm not sure that this could be the answer.
Thanks in advance and best regards.

Hi Jose
dynaTrace won't consume any worker threads of the application server - so that can't be the reason for it.
Can you see a difference in Test Duration? With dynaTrace you may see a 1-3% overhead in terms of response time - meaning that tests may take 1-3% longer. When you have a fixed timeframe it could be that within the same time period you wont be able to execute the same number of tests.
