Business Transaction Definition

Hello;

We want to obtain in a report (csv, pdf...) what we have definited in our Production system profile.

I know that I can define a report in one dashboard but I don´t know how to put into a dashboard our business transaction definition. Is there any way?

Thank you

Correct. If you want to acceses the configuration elements of the System Profile you simply look at the XML file. An alternative to doing the "Export" you can also just read the profile.xml file from your server installation directory. The System Profiles are persisted in the conf/profiles directory. Changes are always flushed out to disk - so - when you read it from there you always get the current status

One other thought that I have: some information is also exposed via REST. Please have a look at our REST Interfaces

Thank you Andreas

You hava understood very well.

So there is no way to generate scheduled report with this information?Then we´ll have to work this XML file to obtain the information.

Thank you again

Hi

If I understand you correctly you really want to know which settings you have in your System Profile? If that is the case why not just export the System Profile -> you can do that via the Context Menu on your Cockpit. The exported version of a System Profile is an XML File that contains ALL Definitions (Agent Groups, SEnsor Placements, Sensors, Business Transactions, Measures). Looking at this data and maybe even comparing it between different "releases" allows you to see what has changed.

Assuming one of the reasons you are asking about this is to know what has changed? If that is the case you may also want to look into our Audit Log. This can be found in the System Information Dashlet when drilling to the dynaTrace Server. The Audit Log lists all changes made to your system profile as well as to the dynaTrace Server Settings
