Using an NCache client performance counter, I can see occassional session objects inserted that are extremely
large. However, I can't tell which sessions, nor what is contained within those sessions. Is there
a feature of dynatrace that would allow me to capture that information?
Hi Jason
There are actually two features that you can use here
a) Memory Analysis has a built-in features to show you all HTTP Sessions and lets you figure out which sessions consume how much memory. Check out Memory Analysis and dynaTrace 4 - Diagnostics - Memory Diagnostics
b) you can capture content from your sessions for every ASP.NET Request. This can be configured in the ASP.NET Sensor Properties where you can specify what objects in the session you want dynaTrace to capture. Check out Sensor Properties and search for the ASP.NET Sensor. The "accessor" option would also allow you to capture the size of elements in the http session, e.g.: use the "Length" accessor on List Objects
Hope this helps
