Alerts and Maintenance Periods

I know we cannot do this now, but I'm wondering if there are any plans to incorporate the ability to configure a maintenance period or hours of operation around when certain incidents or alerts are active?

I've had this question come up a few times recently where the customer only wants alerts to be sent during a certain window of time, or not sent during a designated maintenance period.

I know there is a discussion around this topic and how dT fits into enterprise monitoring, etc, but the question still gets asked.

Is something that is being considered for a future release?

Do we have any clever ways to make this work in some capacity today?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Chris. I think the role is 'Manage Self-monitoring'. Why? because these downtimes are stored globally in the dynaTrace server self-monitoring sysprofile. Maybe not easy to guess - but I hope this clarifies it

I apologize for resurrecting an old thread, however do we know which user right this is that has the power to "Create Downtime...". I have tried Analyze and Manage Incidents, however neither of those worked.

Yes, that will definitely work...and I just might have learned something new today! Thanks, Andreas.

You can define a Downtown Period per System Profile

Would that work?
