Howto modify content-type header of URL Monitoring Plugin

Hi Holger,

The bad news is that looking through the source code of the application I found no content type being set explicitly. We just use Apache HTTP client without any further changes.

Good news is - this plugin comes with the full source code. You can just check out the plugin through the dynaTrace client and add this either as parameter or you hard-code setting it to the desired value. I need to modify the content-type header sent by URL monitoring plugin as it currently leads to a 500-Error in application. At the moment it's always

  • "application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8"

Is there a way to modify this somehow, for example to:

  • "text/xml;charset=UTF-8"

Would be great if anyone has an answer.
