Question by jose b. · Apr 14, 2014 at 07:21 PM ·

reconfigure the connections to the new database dc-rum

Good morning

For problems that are presented in the infrastructure where this
stored database of dc-rum (cas, ads, portal, console) ip 192.168.150.xxx
I must reconfigure the connections to the new database server data ip 190.160.100.xxx

already is restoring the backup of the day yesterday in the new database server

I can tell as I do that reconfiguration

in cas-install dcrum explained in appendix h: Backup and Recovery Procedures
but only refers to the same database server and not with a different server.

thanks

Hi Jose,

Please see below: You will need to edit the following files to point to the new DB.

  • CAS and ADS: C:\Program Files\Compuware\Central Analysis Server (or Advanced Diagnostics Server)\server\config\repository.properties
  • Enterprise Portal: C:\Program Files\Compuware\Enterprise Portal\tomcat\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\portal-customizations.properties
  • RUM Console: I am not sure where the file is for the RUM Console DB. Once you restore the old RUM Console DB to the new DB, add the CAS/ADS and the AMD, you should be all set.

Regards,

Harshal.
