We have Dynatrace 6.1 and we have separate analysis server . we needed more disk space and that machine has not enough disk space to add. They suggested if we can move our analysis server on to the dynatrace server. would that create any problems when we do the post processing of large heaps (28 GB)? we already are having some issues when Bots hit us, DT server chokes...Can anyone suggest?

Venkata,
We have Analysis server on the same server as DT, however, we provisioned a server with a lot of memory and core capacity to account for the extra load. I believe the general guidance is to allocate enough memory to account for the largest heap size you intend to analyze + 2GB.
Thanks.

I have seen customers do processing of large heaps during non peak hours to ensure that it does not conflict with a busy Dynatrace server. Also the big question is do you have enough memory to keep it onthe same server. Because that heap is pretty large
Thanks Micahel. Our current DT server has 22 GB reserved for it. So I am assuming Analysis server would have its own heap? or would it be the same heap from DT server? our applications have generally 12 to 28 GB heaps..
