App Mon Visit Connection Type over Multiple Test Periods

Hi Everyone,

How does App Mon show the Connection Type of a visit over multiple test periods? Is it the first, last, average, something different?

For example :

I have an application that I want bandwidth calculation every 5 mins.

A visit starts and at the first test the connection speed is 9 Mbit/s, the visit goes on for 5 minutes and another bandwidth test occurs, and the speed has degraded to 3 Mbit/s and then the visit ends.

I assume the client shows 9Mbit/s first but what does it show once :

1.) second bandwidth test occurs - visit is still on going?

2.) the visit is complete?

9Mbit/s, 3Mbit/s, 6Mbits, or something different?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

The visits connection type is updated with every new bandwidth information and the average is used for metrics and in UI.

hth, Clemens
