I'm looking to test my alert destination emails prior to setting an upcoming test as active but so far I have not been able to get any sample alerts to be sent out. I looked in the documentation but I can't see where any problems are.
What are the actual requirements to be able to send out a sample alert?

Hi James, the test needs to be active.
If the test is active, you may want to check the Alerts log under Monitor & Analyze. If there shows the log for the sample alert you sent but you do not receive any, double check the following:
1. the email address in the alert destination
2. make sure the dynatrace email address or server is not blocked or greylisted.
