My client has requested a detailed explanation of how Dynamic Alert Baselines are calculated. Including how it accounts for applications going through planned/unplanned downtime within the calculation?
Could someone please shine some light on this topic for me?

So in this case, we would compare the average Response Time for the last 5 minutes with the average for the last 2 days and if it's 1s above, fire a warning alert and when it's 3s above, fire a severe alert.
I believe if the maintenance is unplanned then it would be counted in the average as we would not know to exclude it.
However, if the maintenance was part of a test maintenance window that it would not. More information about the different maintenance windows can be seen here:
