Question by Sampath R. · Aug 22, 2016 at 05:29 AM · dashboard uem web performance monitoring production

I couldn't get data before 20 days from Dynatrace client 6.3? is there any specific reason or any retention days applicable?

I tried to get data for last 1 month on (August 22) but data is displaying after August 5 only.

Look at DynaTrace Server -> Storage and enlarge this "Total Disk Quota"

If you're looking at PurePath data (Purepaths, Web Requests, Errors, etc...) it is all based on how much space you have available for session storage on disk and possibly also if you have space reserved for system profiles. AppMon will try and store as much PurePath data as possible in sessions and then begin removing the old data as new data comes in. So if you have enough disk space to store ~1 week of data you will usually have ~the past week of data for analysis. With more space and depending on the level of traffic you may have a number of months worth of data. If you right click on the system profile in the cockpit on the left and select 'details' it will tell you how for back you have PurePath data for that profile.

As Steven says it is different for charted data (i.e measures) which are stored in the Performance Warehouse database. You can check the configurations for storage in your Server settings which allows for setting measure retention based on set dates. If it is the case that your PW is disconnected you will only see 1 hour of charted data as 1 hour of this time series data is cached on the server.

Hello Sampath,

Which dashboard do you use to obtain your data? Can you add a printscreen? It is important for us to know from which source the data is retrieved (performance warehouse or session storage for example)

----

If it is a business transaction hot spot dashboard, can you add below settings?

Richt client: select settings --> dynatrace server --> performance warehouse --> storage managment --> take a printscreen

Regards
