I'm facing a strange behavior on my ADS. Changing the service account from "Local System" to a specific service user the ADS doesn't work anymore. Even if the service starts from service manager ADS is completely hung, I have to set again the service to the Local System to get the ADS started and connected.

Stop the Watchdog permanently, then log in to the Windows as this very user, navigate to C:\Program Files\Dynatrace\CAS\server and start RunServer.bat.
It will possibly fail with some error and you should be able to find out i.e. that this user has not enough rights ...
