Question by Kyle R. · Jul 13, 2017 at 11:05 AM · configuration Dynatrace Managed documentation sso

Dynatrace SSO connection to ADFS

In following the Documentation “How do I set up SAML 2.0 for single sign-on?” have successfully loaded the Dynatrace SP Metadata XML file into Microsoft ADFS (Step 4), but are now stuck.

I’m assuming (and this needs to be confirmed), that the idP Metafile from ADFS we need to load into Dynatrace in Step 5 is the ADFS Federated Metafile.xml?

We’ve exported this from ADFS and saved as xml, but nothing happens when loading it as per Step 6. It lets me select the file, press ok, but nothing changes and there’s no error.

Have checked in the Server log, but there's no indication of any problem there around the time we performed this.

Need help to proceed.

Hi, it would be very welcome if there was a couple of examples, say with ADFS or Azure AD in the documentation. :)

Hi,

I have tried importing (by supplying URL) on the SAML SSO federation meatadata field.

However, it just fails.

Any tips?

Do you see the content of uploaded file in 'XML metadata of a SAML 2.0 Identity Provider' text area? If no, then please create a support ticket and attach uploaded file.
