HI All,
We are having agents which are connected to Dynatrace collector.
We want the agents to point to new collector because Dynatrace set up physically moved. i.e Dynatrace servers and collectors are cloned for the same image and changed host names .
.
1. Changing the JVM start up parameters
ContextFactory -agentpath:/u01/app/dynatrace/dynatrace-6.1.0/agent/lib64/libdtagent.so=name=WeblogicAS_TFPRD,server=Collector name :9998
2. Changing or deleting the collector file in /u01/app/dynatrace/dynatrace-6.1.0/agent/conf/
collectorlist.WeblogicAS_TFPRD
[oracle@ics106027164 conf]$ more collectorlist.WeblogicAS_TFPROD
xxx.xxx.xx.xx:9998|collector name 1:9998
collector name 2:9998|xxx.xxx.xx.xx:9998
Could anyone please tell whats the difference between , editing the collector file(gave all new collector names) and deleting the collector file
We did testing in ACC environments by changing the ACC collector name 1 to ACC collector name 2 and it worked pretty well by following the above steps.
Now I am suggested like I should do deleting collector list file. But no time to test this in ACC now.
Expecting quick suggestions as activity planned for tomorrow.
Thanks In adavnce.
