How do You Report Vlans in the AMD and CAS?

Hello,

This is my setup.

2 Cisco 7K's as vPC Peers
SPAN port on each 7K
with SOURCE as Port-Channels and Vlans
with DESTINATION as Gigamon GV-HC2
HC2 is using Deduplication
CAS and AMD do not report any Vlans

Let me know if you need any additional information.

Thanks and God bless,
Genesius

Hello @Alasdair P.

There is no information of Current VLANs (except the VLAN 0) and Current tunnels even though the 'Enable Layer 2 data generation' is already enabled on all the AMDs.

Below screenshot is the reference to my question.

Babar

Hi Genesius

Provided your setup doesn't strip the vlan tags you can enable the monitoring in the global AMD config under Global>General and selecting Enable Layer 2 data generation

You should then be able to view the data in the CAS using the "Layer 2 data" data view in DMI.

Alasdair
