curl command not working on RHEL 5.11

Hi,

I am trying to pull the API data from dynatrace using curl command in RHEL 5.11, but no output data. Here is the command used:

curl -k -s -u <user>:<pass> 'https://<DynatraceServer>:8021/rest/management/reports/create/<DashboardName>?type=XML'

Tried to use the same command on RHEL 7.3 and it worked. The dynatrace version is 7.0.11.1009.

Is this issue related to the RHEL version?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bharath,

Assuming you've run the same API call both times with the same command, but it didn't work for curl / RHEL 5.11, it's most likely to be a problem on that side.

Could you share what the response was when you run the command in RHEL 5.11 without the -s (silent / error suppression) flag? As below:

curl -k -u <user>:<pass> 'https://<DynatraceServer>:8021/rest/management/reports/create/<DashboardName>?type=XML'

Best,

Joel

Hi Joel,

Below is the resposnse

curl -k -u <user>:<pass>'https://<DynatraceServer>:8021/rest/management/reports/create/<DashboardName>?type=XML'

curl: (35) Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to <DynatraceServer>:8021

Thanks,

Bharath
