Question about OneAgent files on Linux

tfukuda

Hi all,

I have 2 question about OneAgent files on Linux.

There is the following sentence in the Documetation.

One of the Linux OneAgent components, liboneagentproc.so, is located in the system library directory (/lib or /lib64 depending on your architecture) and is enabled at /etc/ld.so.preload.

URL:https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/oneagent-files-linux#installation

1.Does liboneagentproc.so be newly created in /lib (or /lib64)?

2.About "enabled at /etc/ld.so.preload". Is something added to /etc/ld.so.preload?

Best regards,

1. The liboneagentproc.so created at first installation of OneAgent and updated with each agent update.

2. Yes, this liboneagentproc.so is added to /etc/ls.so.preload at first installation of OneAgent

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I have an additional question.

If there is not "/etc/ls.so.preload", it is newly created?

Best regards,

Tomoko Fukuda

Yes, it will be created.
