Hello
I'm just starting a Dynatrace trial on an Amazon Web Services instance using the official Dynatrace AMI from the Amazon Marketplace. The instance is up and running OK and I can connect to it using PuTTY and WinSCP. I have set up the security rules as indicated on the "Getting started with Compuware APM using the Amazon Marketplace" page.
Am I right in thinking that this AMI does not actually have Dynatrace installed in it? The services are not running (checked with ps -A) and I can't see the software installed anywhere.
If so, what is the point of using the AMI?
If not, how do I get Dynatrace up and running inside the instance so that I can connect to it?
Thanks
Colin

Colin, we are in the process of resolving this issue via Amazon but in the meantime I have created a Dynatrace Server AMI and made it public.
AMI: ami-23f51a48
This AMI should contain an installed and running instance of the Dynatrace Server and Collector processes and should be ready to accept a license (FreeTrial or otherwise.)
thanks again for bringing this issue to our attention.

Colin, it appears there is an issue with this AMI. We are looking into this and will have an updated AMI available shortly.
I apologize for the delay!
