Jboss 7 and JDK 7 compatibility

Hi,

I would like to know if the next release will be monitoring the Jboss 7 and JDK 7 too? This informartion is very important for a big deal here in Brasil, because our competition CA-Wily doesn't make not yet!

Thanks a lot in advance,

I have follow-up question.

I'm currently running dynaTrace 4.0 and are monitoring agents which are installed on JBoss 5 and JBoss 7.

I have been able to set up measures which can monitor Manager Active Sessions and other measures which are located under the JBoss category. But I only see data from the agents which are running on the JBoss 5.

So if I understand this correctly, dynaTrace 4.0 does not support monitoring JBoss 7 specific measurements? And if I need to have those monitored as well I should upgrade to dynaTrace 4.1?

what exactly is meant by JBoss 7 specific measurements? Does JBoss 7 provides values via JMX at all?

It might be correct to say JBoss specific measurements like you see in the picture below instead of "JBoss 7":cap03.PNG

It's just that those measures automatically pick up data from the agents that are running on JBoss 5, but not from the agents running on JBoss 7. So my question still remains, is JBoss 7 supported in such a way that the JBoss specific measures can be used with it the same way I am using those measures for JBoss 5?

As for custum JMX values, I am quite new with this so I'm not as familiar with configuring it yet.

JBoss 7 should work the same way as JBoss 5, but as it seems we need to look at it in more detail, which is planned for the fall release.

And JBoss 6 is not on the list of certified applications either.

We tested this at a customer site during a POC and it seems to work ok.

Hi

Our Java Agent works on Java 7 - meaning - we can trace applications running in a Java 7 Runtime.
As for JBoss 7: we "plan" specific support for this version in the next dynaTrace release.
