I want to shut off PurePath collection from a set of agents but still collect JMX-related things like Heap utilization, GC, etc.
If I turn off "Capture Events" in the agent group, does that shut off everything from the agent, or just PP stuff? I'm betting it shuts off everything... What I'm trying to avoid is unplacing sensors (or making them inactive) since this is likely temporary (a few days). So would this work? If not, is there another way to accomplish what I want?

I was able to test this myself in a staging environment at the customer, so I'll pass along the answer.
Turning off "Capture Events" will just stop capturing PP data. All JMX-related stuff will still be captured.
After turning off Capture Events, I created three charts for the agent: one tracking MPS, one Memory, and one GC. The MPS goes to zero, and the other two continue to post data.

One thing to add here: If the customer is using UEM, you could also turn off PurePath starting at the webserver or servlet sensor
with the slider in the UEM config -> per application.
This is not the same then turning off "Capture Events" but similar, so I wanted to notice it here.
