Hi - I would like to know if there would be any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data stored in performance warehouse (external database) or server disk?
If yes, is there a specific table where it will be store, so that it can be encrypted?
Does dynatrace save purepath or headers data in plain text or readable format on the disk?
Is there any related documentation which would cover the Security information, please guide me.
Thanks
Kranthi

Hi Kranthi
"Personal Data" - in case you capture it along the transaction (PurePath) will typically not be stored in the performance warehouse. This data gets stored in a dynaTrace Session on the file system in case you tell dynaTrace to do so. The storage format of a dynaTrace Session is a propriatory binary format. You can check out the sessions directory of your dynaTrace Installation and analyze these session files to see the way we store this data.
If you happen to configure Business Transactions that split by personal data, e.g: Response Times per Username - then the username would be stored in the Performance Warehouse. Question here is whether you have Business Transactions that split on this type of sensitive data.
Hope this helps
Hi Andreas - Thanks for the clarification, it answered my question. We haven't done any configuration for the business transactions so i guess we are covered.
Thanks
Kranthi
