On several of our systems that have dynaTrace running for several months, there are only a few days worth of Purepaths available for analysis. Is there a way/procedure to ensure more is available? The goal is to peform comparisons to past periods (months/weeks) on an ad hoc basis.
Both the session storage (200 GB free, 40 GB used) and Performance Warehouse (300 GB, 100 GB used) are fine.

Is there any way to limit the session storage requirements for a given profile? Rather than start disabling the various sensors packs, is it possible to assign a given profile X GB of storage?
Right now there is only one single quota for all system profiles. We have heard the request several times though to make this configurable per System Profile

1. "Continuous Transaction Storage" is enabled.
2. "Storage Quota" is 250 GB. 42.95 is currently used (0 GB locked).
I checked the underlying disk space and there is 5GB free beyond the 42.95GB already consumed.
3. Select DETAILS on a typical profile shows on a few days of recording.
Is there any setting that controls this?
Jon,
if you say there is only 5Gb free beyond the 43Gb then I assume you only have a total of 48Gb available in that filesystem??
Do you have enough disk space available at all to assign to the sessions/stored directory or volume?

PurePath data is stored in that "session storage" you mention (the 200 GB above). If you have 200 GB and have allocated that to the dT storage, it should use that amount. So, a couple of things:

One additional input here: If you have "Stored Sessions" (PurePath, Memory or Thread Dumps) these sessions will also be stored in the same location as your continuous session. That means that - in case you have a lot of these stored sessions it will limit the available space for the continuous session.
A best practice here is to Export Sessions that you want to keep instead of just keeping them as regular Stored Sessions.

When you say the session storage is 40/240GB used, do you mean the volume itself or the session store as reported in Settings -> dynaTrace Servers -> Storage?
This is where the Session Store (PurePath data) max size is determined. Make sure "Enable continuous transaction storage" is checked and that the Storage Quota and Directory are what you expect.
