My organization is considering moving from Gomez SaaS UEM to dynaTrace UEM.
The challenge that we are facing is that we have a number of pages where the deveelopment team has used Gomez SaaS UEM custom events using the gomez.startInterval and gomez.endInterval tags(see page 66 of the Gomez UEM Tagging guide for more detail) to define custom events that are used for the "perceived render time" for those pages.
In looking at the dynaTrace documentation, I see the "starting custom actions" functionality in the JavaScript APK, but want to confirm that these would allow the dynaTrace UEM browser display to show the specified custom action in addition to the UEM-calculated "page render time".
Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, what solution (if any) was found?

Hi Kevin,
Sorry, for the late answer.
So I assume you are using the gomez events to measure the time until a specifiy line is reached on your page, because you know - if this line is reached, the user can see the page and work with it.
So your "perceived render time or page render time" is not the metric which is available in gomez and dynatrace.
That means, if you want to measure the page till a specific part which you want to define by yourself - yes this is also possible with the dynaTrace UEM ADK. In the dynaTrace JavaScript ADK and you are right these are the startAction/endAction calls.
I you want, we can arrange a webex, and you can show us your current gomez metrics and what you are measuring and discuss if you will need these customs events also with the dynaTrace UEM.
Are you already using dynaTrace UEM?
Please let me know if we should make a webex - I would discuss these "migration" topcis with you.
Alex
Thanks for the reply Alexander, that is exactly what we are looking for!
We are currently finalizing a decision between Gomez UEM and dynaTrace UEM implementation, thus the need to ensure we would be able to validate that the customized timings in dynaTrace are the same as we would be able to implement under Gomez SaaS UEM.
I would love a webex, please shoot me an email and we can coordinate a time.
