Hi,
I have customer that is using OpenEdge Application Server to access the Progress® OpenEdge® MT Database .
Progress database is called from progress openedge application server, you can find more detail on www.progress.com
In addition, they host .P files which like a query on progress openedge server, these file called by java web services hosted on oracle bea web logic.

Hi all,
We do not have any insight into a Progress database when running native .p files and such, as this is not a JVM but a native process.
But the JDBC sensor recognizes the Progress JDBC driver and the Webservice sensor can handle the Progress Web Service Adapter (WSA)

Harry

Hi Zuher - Can you confirm what language Progress is written in? Based on what I've read they use a proprietory language called 4GL also known as OpenEdge ABL. Were you able to instrument this application with dynaTrace and if so, how? They seem to use their own integrated relational database so I'd be curious to know if dynaTrace is capable of seeing the db calls. It sounds like they don't use JDBC or ADO,NET for this.
Thanks!
