We are having an issue in Dynatrace where our browser is blocking the referer from getting sent to the Dynatrace WebServer. We are getting a 200 response back from the server, but nothing is showing up in the Dynatrace Client. After further investigating with WireShark, we realized the referer is not getting sent. We were wondering if it is possible to configure Dynatrace to look for a different parameter other than the referer to know where the calls are coming from? Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Steve Brines

The referer header is always sent as long as the request is not a x-origin request.
Is there a security filter or browser plugin installed?
There is currently no way to send an alternative parameter instead of the referer...

Hi Steve
The referer header is required by our UEM solution in order to correctly track User Actions. I have to say that I've never heard that the browser is actually blocking the referer header. AFAIK it is a standard to send the Referer header. Do you have browser plugins installed the strip these headers out?
I will also double check witih the engineering team if there is any way around this and keep you posted
