Question by Victor R. · Sep 13, 2013 at 09:31 PM ·

WebRequest Tag check on apache for performance test SILK.

Hi Team,

Is there any way to perform a double check too validate whether Silk is sending the tags to apache correctly?

I would like to confirm if the tags are being sent correct to the frontend.

I asked to check the apache logs and look for the VU or PC or ID words and we did not find.

The reason that I asked that is because when I’ve checked the tagged webrequests for a profile that worked (a load test performed last week for a different app) I saw the content of the header and it has those values.

But I am not sure if dynaTrace receive the request and change the tag to present the information above.

My goal is to collect enough information to isolate the problem. We have done some tests and it worked for some apps/profile and for other tests it does not. The Silk configuration seemed to be the same.

I am pretty sure that is not related with dynaTrace but I need to provide further details to the team that requested the test.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Victor

For a temporary measure, you can add Request Header = * to your Web Server Sensor Configuration.  This would let you see everything Silk is sending to better understand where the issue is.
