Hello,
In a customer environment, it is often impossible in a desktop PC to install application such as the Dynatrace client
So I wonder if a standalone version of the Dynatrace exists ?
If it is the case, thank you let me know how to get it
Thank you for your answer
Regards,
Antoine

Well - I think there might be a solution to this. You could install the dynaTrace Client on one of your desktops and then simply ZIP the whole installation folder. Then use this ZIP to deploy it to other machines. On these desktops you can then just execute dtclient.exe
I've not tried this but I think this shoudl work.

Hello Andreas,
Thank you for your answer
My question was if there is a version of the full DT client which doesn't need any installation to be launched, as you can have with Eclipse
A large EXE file and by executing it the full DT client is ready to be used
Apparently, there is no version like this

Hi Antoine
The dynaTrace Client itself is already "standalon" - meaning - it is a rich client application that connects to a dynaTrace Server. There are two versions available:
a) Web Start Client - which uses Java Web Start Technology and allows easy deployment because the only thing you need is a link to your dT Server Homepage where you can then download the client. The drawback of this is that you need Java pre-installed.
b) Full Client Install. There is a windows installer that "just" installs the dynaTrace Client as a standalone application. You can then configure it to connect to ANY dynaTrace server
I hope this helps. If you mean though that you CANNOT instally ANY type of dynaTrace Client you have the option to look at dashboards through the Web Interface. It is not as flexible as looking at the data through the dynaTrace Client. You can also not do any drill downs or look at PurePaths - but - at least you can look at charts and stuff like that
