Hi there guys!
I have a little problem with dynaTrace 5.6: one of out testers (he's in a Tester role) tried to check the "Database Hotspots" dashlet, but he needs a permission called "Analyze Database Hotspots".
I checked it in the permission chooser, and i can't select it and move it from denied permissions (left side) to allowed permission (right side).
I'm in the Administrators role, and i can access that dashlet (and i should be able to grant permissions, but obviously i can't).
I tried to find a mapping for the permissions, but there is nothing for 5.6 (only for <=5.5, but these versions didn't have this feature).
Any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Tamas

Hi Somdev
Based on the posting from Tamas it seems that there is a known issue in the product and a fixpack available. Please reach out to support by opening a ticket. It probably helps if you also send them the link to this forum post so that they know that there is a fixpack available that was already provided to some of our end users

Hi Andi,
The issue faced by Oliver is also being faced by us but we are using dT 5.5.
It shows same error as Insufficient Permissions for "Analyze API Breakdown".
Could you please help me out. Is this error/bug only on 5.6 or is it possible that it has hit dT 5.5 also.
Regards,
Somdev

Hi Andreas,
I have the same problem too. I'm running Version 5.6.0.5802.
Although the user role "User" includes the (grayed out) right "Analyze Transaction Flow", all users receive the error message "Insufficient Permissions to analysis 'Transaction Flows'". The only role that has sufficient rights is the "Administrator" group to which I didn't want to assign the user to of course.
I'm member of the admin group, I've also tried to assign the right to the role with the built in admin account - but this didn't change anything.
Do you have an idea when a solution will be available?
regards
Oliver
Hi Oliver
Please reach out to support. As Thomas said - this might be because of a bug in 5.6 which is probably already solved by a FixPack that you will receive from our support team.

Hi everyone,
This problem is because of a bug. The support contact told me, this is a known bug for them (in 5.6 some things changed around permissions) and they're working on a fix pack already.
So we only have to wait
Best regards,
Tamás
Thanks for sharing the details - lets hope you dont have to wait too long - keep us posted on your status on this

Maybe i can help.
Last week we had similar problem with adding Buissnes Transaction (option was disabled). Most probably, problem is when user use save password option. Some priviledges are broken after application restart. We noticed that after relogin (even "test connection" button should be ok) option is enabled once again. We noticed this problem in 5.5 version.

I just tried this on my local installation and I had no problems. I also talked with the engineer - he told me that these grey (=disabled) entries are a sign that you dont have the permissions. Now - as you say that you are logged in as "admin" you should be able to move all permissions. In this case it might be a bug as this feature (disabled entries). Can you therefore open a support ticket so that they can have a closer look at it? If you do so - please keep us posted on the outcome - seems that Eugen also runs into the same problem
