Hi
We use dynatrace 5.6 test edition. Is there a plan for dynatrace to support Nodejs and RabbitMQ in the near future ? We use both in our application and are looking for ways to troubleshoot performance issues in both.
This is already provided by other APM tools (eg Appdynamics)
Is this on your roadmap ? When can we expect support for these platforms?
thanks

I'd have to +1 RabbitMQ support for Java. We have both sending and receiving of RabbitMQ messages in instrumented Java applications. We're not in production yet, so I've been planning on using the dynaTrace tagging API (Tagging ADK for Java). However, as you can guess, this is less than ideal (as we'd like to keep dynaTrace code out of our code).
John,
is using AspectJ an alternative for weaving the dynatrace code into your code?
best, Christian
Christian-
Yes, it's an alternative...but not at the expense of complicating our build process. We're actually using Spring AMQP to do this, so i'll likely just use Spring AOP to do it (much easier). But still, support in dynaTrace for a popular messaging solution such as RabbitMQ would be nice.
Thanks for the idea!

Hi Thara,
we are currently working on a Node.js agent. It would be interesting to learn a few details about your environment and what your expectations on the Node.js agent are. I will send you an email with a few more detailed questions.
Regarding RabbitMQ - on which platforms are you using it? Java, .NET or Node.js?
Best regards,
Dominik
