Question by Steven L. · Mar 13, 2014 at 09:41 AM ·

Product version number into compware graphs

Hello,

At first we worked with new relic, now with Compuware and it's a big difference in terms of features and detail data,

However there is one feature i cannot immediately find in Compuware:

This is nice to have: Overview of the deployed versions of a certain product part (example web services)

This is really interesting, all graphs contain a line which indicate a new version, in that way people can see the difference between product versions

In our poc ChrisG says, for the moment, it's not possible, but he made a feature request for future compware version

Question?

Chris says also there is a workaround, i'am not sure what he meant, can we place manually a label on the graph?

Other possibilities? Thx

Hi

ChrisG is correct - the next dynaTrace version will have this feature built-in. You can then manually or automatically (via REST) tell dynatrace about a new deployment and these deployments will then show up in your charts similar to NewRelic

As for the current workaround. We have an internal forum where a workaround for this was discussed. Please ask ChrisG to give you the details - here is the internal link that you can forward to him: https://community.compuwareapm.com/community/display/INTDTFORUM/Deployment+Point+on+Charts
