Hi Team,
Could you please help in letting know if dynaTrace can be used for monitoring cryptoserver. Basically, one of customer has few transaction happening between their app server and cryptoserver(UDP and TCP requests) and they wanted to know if the transactions between the two servers, health of the cryptoserver(which is java based) can be monitored or not in dynaTrace.
Thanks,

Hi
If CryptoServ is Java you can inject our Agent into that service. The question that remains is the actual communication protocol between the App Server and CryptoServ. If you say its TCP/UDP i assume it is a custom protocol. By default dynaTrace is able to trace PurePaths across tiers for our out-of-the-box supported protocols/frameworks such as Web Services, HTTP Requests, RMI, JMS, ... - If the protocol in your scenario is different you can use our Agent Development Kit (ADK) and the so called "Tagging Support". This requires some manual coding but will allow you to get an end-to-end PurePath. For more information on the ADK and the Tagging Support check out Agent Development Kit (ADK)
