BT drill down to PurePath not filtering on selected splitting

Hi,

I am having issues drilling down from a particular split on a BT to the PurePath dashlet. The PP dashlet does not seem to filter on the splitting, only on the BT itself.

Consider the following BT, it just splits logins by Username from the easyTravel LoginLogic.authenticate method:

It seems to be working pretty well:

Now, when I drill down into the purepaths for a particular user (in this case ‘ascon’ with 6 PP), I get a result that does not filter by the splitting:

The parameter that is captured states a different username as well:

However, the dashlet filter specifies the correct BT splitting filter:

Even when I remove this splitting and add my own it does not make a difference.

When I go into the details of a purepath, it is correctly tagged:

It seems that only this BT is suffering from it as well, as another BT is working as intended. Sometimes recreating the BT fixes the problem, sometimes not.

I have noted this issue whilst delivering a training course. Multiple students have experienced the same behavior.

I have attached a session which contains PP for this BT as well (BT Name: Number of logins using LoginLogic.authenticate - Split by User)

Training - BT drilldown not filtering by splitting.dts

Thanks for your help!

KR,

Kristof

I hate to resurrect a subject nearly 6 months old, but I am having the same issue with build 6.0.0.7153; purepaths not filitering by BT transaction Split.

Hi Brian

I would check with support and tell them the reference to our internal issue ID JLT-99400. That fix may have made it into 6.1 but not 6.0. There may however be a FixPack that support already has for this that they can hand out. Please contact them by creating a new support ticket

Hi Brian,

Are you also having this issue when you modify an existing BT and add the splitting? For me, then the drill down does not work.

A workaround is to recreate the BT once you have added the split. Just copying the existing BT is enough (and give it a different name).

For me that solves the issue of the drill down.

Let me know how you go.

Cheers,

Kristof

Hi. There was a support case with this that is closed as fixed as a patch seems to be provided. But - if you still see the problem I would open another ticket as it seems that fix may have not made it into the actual product. Here is the internal reference for your JLT-99400

Hi Andi,

Any update on this? I saw this today during training on 6.0 build 7000...

Kristof

That is interesting and I would consider this as a bug. If you say "Show in Dashboard -> New Dashboard" the filter is set to the e.g: 6 PurePaths that map to that BT. That will then of course work but is not the same as the BT Filter.

Kristof - as you are a Compuware employee I will create an internal bug for this if you dont mind
